Charles Newton

Charles Newton is a Shareholder at Skellenger Bender, PS, since March 2017, and previously served as Principal Attorney and Associate Attorney at Cairncross & Hempelmann, P.S. from 2008 to March 2017. Charles began a legal career as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney at King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, where responsibilities included first-chairing over 40 trials in the Felony Domestic Violence Unit. Prior legal experience includes serving as a sole prosecutor during a Rule 9 Legal Internship and a Legal Extern in the Criminal Division. Before a legal career, Charles was a Soloist with the Pacific Northwest Ballet, performing in over 75 ballets and receiving significant media recognition. Charles earned a J.D. with Honors from the University of Washington School of Law between 2002 and 2005.
