Olivier Cauvin

CTO at Skello

Olivier Cauvin is the current CTO at Skello and has held this position since September 2020. Prior to this, they were an engineering manager at Meetic from April 2019 to September 2020, where they were in charge of front office developments for more than 50 websites of dating and matchmaking spread across Europe.

Before their time at Meetic, Olivier was the Chief Technology Officer at Drouot Digital from February 2017 to March 2019. There, they were responsible for the technical direction of the Drouot group platforms, which included drouotonline.com, drouot.com, gazette-drouot.com, moniteurlive.com, expertissim.com, as well as 120 auction house sites. Olivier managed a team of 15 people plus infra providers using Agile practices and oversaw the technical challenges of the platform, which included real-time auctions, broadcasting in very low latency of tens of hours daily of video, and robustness and resilience of the platform.

Olivier led a global redesign of the platform with a migration to Google Cloud Platform, software architecture and infrastructure, industrialization of deployments. Olivier also managed the IT budget and was a member of the comex. The tech side for this included React, Java, nodeJs, solr, ngnix, tomcat, web socket, red5 & wowza realtime stream servers, google cloud platform, gitlab, grafana, datadog.

Olivier Cauvin is a computer science graduate from Miage Aix en Provence. Olivier has a certification from Jurgen Appelo in Management 3.0 and two certifications from Scrum Alliance in Product Owner and Scrum Master.

Olivier Cauvin reports to Quitterie Mathelin-Moreaux, Co-Founder & CEO. They are on a team with Emmanuelle F. - Co-Founder & COO, Alexis de Bouvet - Head of Sales, and Charles Tenot - Chief Business Officer.
