Vlad Iacob

Vlad Iacob has been working in the software engineering industry since 2012. Vlad began their career at Barracuda (NYSE: CUDA) as an Engineering Intern, where they created manufacturing specification tests for a variety of Barracuda products. Vlad then moved on to become a Software Engineer at Barracuda, where they worked on a distributed, cross-platform data protection software implemented in C/C++. Vlad then joined Microsoft in 2016 as a Software Development Engineer II, where they were the Tech Lead on Microsoft Modern Group Provisioning and Sustainable Engineering For Platform / Files & Notification Domains. In 2018, they joined TraceMe as a Senior Software Development Engineer, where they were responsible for building out backend systems for different products and helping drive product decisions. In 2019, they became a Senior Software Engineer at Nike, and in 2021 they moved on to become an Engineering Manager and Staff Software Engineer at Sketchy, a visual learning platform. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Big Brothers Big Sisters of America as a Mentor and Big Brother.

Vlad Iacob attended De Anza College from 2008 to 2011, where they obtained an Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Science, Math, and Engineering. Vlad then continued their education at San Jose State University from 2011 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science.
