Skillman Foundation
Kyra Hudson is an experienced professional in policy and community engagement with a strong background in supporting educational and philanthropic initiatives. Currently serving as the Partnership Manager for Policy & Systems at The Skillman Foundation since March 2025, Kyra previously held positions at Education First Consulting as an Associate Consultant and Associate, and completed a fellowship with the Council of Michigan Foundations. Early career roles included the 313Speaks Program Coordinator at BrilliantDetroit and a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Michigan, contributing to community-focused research projects. Additional experience includes internships at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation and Kalamazoo County Government, along with involvement in community engagement initiatives and diversity efforts at the University of Michigan. Kyra holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from the University of Michigan, a Master of Management from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business, and is pursuing a Master of Science in Education Policy from The Johns Hopkins University.
