Skillman Foundation
Mohammad A. Muntakim is an accomplished professional with diverse experience in community organization, health equity research, and youth engagement. As the Founder and Director of the Detroit Muslim Youth Council since January 2022, Mohammad has made significant contributions to local youth initiatives. Currently serving as a Member of the Board of Trustees for The Skillman Foundation and working as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding, Mohammad also holds positions as a Basebuilding Youth Organizer and Youth Organizing Fellow at 482FORWARD, and a Clinical Assistant at HUDA Clinic. Previous roles include an internship with Wayne County Michigan and leadership on the President's Youth Council for The Skillman Foundation. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Wayne State University and ongoing pursuit of an MBA at the Mike Ilitch School of Business.
