Carolyn Anderson FCIPD has a diverse range of work experience. Carolyn started their career as an HR Adviser at Diageo in 1993 and worked there until 1999. Carolyn then worked as an Interim HR Consultant for various companies from 2000 to 2002. In 2002, they served as an Interim HR Manager at the Department of Health. From 2003 to 2007, Carolyn worked as the Director of HR at Forth Valley College. Carolyn then moved on to become the Head of EL & HR Consultancy at RBS Mentor Services Ltd from 2008 to 2012. Carolyn joined Skills Development Scotland in 2012 as the Head of Human Resources, and later became the Director of HR in 2017.

Carolyn Anderson FCIPD obtained their education at two notable institutions. From 1985 to 1988, they attended the University of Aberdeen, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Following this, they pursued further education at Robert Gordon University from 1988 to 1989, obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Personnel Administration.
