Terrence Keaney, MD, FAAD has a diverse work experience in the field of dermatology. Terrence is the Founder and Director of SkinDC since 2017. Prior to that, they served as the Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology at The George Washington University Hospital starting in 2014. In the same year, they also worked as a Dermatologist at the VA Clinic. Terrence was appointed as the Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Howard University Hospital in 2015. From 2012 to 2016, Dr. Keaney worked as an Associate Dermatologist at the Washington Institute of Dermatologic Laser Surgery. Terrence completed their Dermatology Residency at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine from 2009 to 2012. Before that, they were a resident in Internal Medicine at St. Mary's Medical Center, San Francisco from 2008 to 2009. In 2007, Dr. Keaney served as a Clinical Research Fellow at UCSF, where they conducted various research projects and gained experience in outpatient care and patient supervision.

Terrence Keaney, MD, FAAD completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from Duke University. Following this, they pursued their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree at the University of Virginia School of Medicine.
