Skokie Park District
The Risk and Safety Manager oversees and directs all aspects of the District's Risk Management program, including the implementation and enforcement of the District's Safety Program and safety standards. Green evaluates safety training programs for staff, ensures compliance with safety standards and regulations, and coordinates safety audits and special activities. She also conducts safety orientations, provides CPR and first-aid training, and continues to research ways to enhance safety practices.
In her free time, Green enjoys horseback riding and practicing yoga. She couldn't imagine her life without her dog and Kindle, as both provide her with companionship and joy. Whenever possible, she also opens her home to foster dogs. Green has been in parks and recreation since 2013, starting as a horseback riding instructor and later moving into aquatics and safety training as a lifeguard and instructor in 2014.

The Skokie Park District takes pride in its ability to serve the more than 63,000 residents of Skokie, Illinois and its customers throughout Chicagoland. Whether protecting natural resources, preserving historical sites or providing thousands of unique recreational opportunities within its more than 240 acres of parkland, the district has offered a multitude of quality programs since 1928. In addition to its diverse array of programs and special events, the Skokie Park District also offers summer camps, state-licensed full-day childcare and preschool, and before- and after-school care for grades K-5. The district is a past winner of the “National Gold Medal for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management.”
