The Director of Communications and Marketing plays a vital role in managing the Park District's marketing initiatives and promotional activities, including securing corporate sponsorships. A major focus is also placed on the support of the Recreation and Facilities Division with additional assistance to other divisions as needed.
Bottorff oversees both internal and external communications, project management, and develops and implements effective marketing strategies that showcase the best of the parks and programs.
Outside of his role as Director of Communications and Marketing, Bottorff once marched with Martin Luther King Jr.
He also enjoys cheering for the Chicago Bears, hiking National parks or listening to a sweet tune of indie rock or jazz. Two things, however, he would not be able to live without is bread and sunshine!
