Amber H.

Amber H. serves as the Communications Coordinator at Skokie Public Library since November 2021, following a role as Program Officer of Communications and Outreach at the American Library Association from May 2018 to November 2021. During the time at ALA, responsibilities included managing communication channels, representing the organization at library conferences, and coordinating various outreach efforts. Previous experience extends to Greenheart International, where Amber held roles ranging from Cultural Outreach Manager to Operations Program Assistant, organizing events and managing communication with international participants. Additional positions include ESL instructing at several institutions and administrative roles at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Amber holds a Postbaccalaureate in Community-based Librarianship from Drexel University and a Master’s Degree in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language from Northeastern Illinois University.
