Laura Salisbury

Laura Salisbury is an accomplished Geospatial Standards Advisor at Natural Resources Canada since April 2016, specializing in evolving flood mapping guidelines to national standards, developing communications plans, and engaging with various stakeholders. Previous experience includes roles as a Geomatics Officer, where Laura managed communication materials and coordinated scientific training for Northern Indigenous audiences, as well as internships and project work involving geospatial datasets and outreach efforts. Laura holds a Master of Science in Geomatics from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Mount Allison University, complemented by ongoing education at Algonquin College.
