Anthony Rolland has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering. Their most recent position was as a Senior Software Engineer at the Brooklyn Investment Group, where they started in March 2023.
Prior to that, Anthony worked at Opentrons Labworks Inc. from October 2020 to February 2023, initially as a Software Engineer and later as a Senior Software Engineer.
Before joining Opentrons Labworks Inc., Anthony held a Software Engineering role at Bridgewater Associates from September 2019 to August 2020. During their time there, they created strategies to improve the company's algorithmic execution logic for futures and fixed income markets. Anthony also implemented proprietary business logic to alert traders to exceptional market conditions and performance.
Anthony began their career as an Undergraduate Researcher at MIT Intelligence Quest in January 2019, where they focused on enabling non-CS academics and students to use AI and Machine Learning tools for their research. Anthony created a platform that allowed users without AI/ML ready hardware to launch a password-protected Jupyter notebook on a google cloud instance.
Before that, Anthony worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Bridgewater Associates in the summer of 2018. Anthony created a tool to inspect network architecture for a scala/terraform-based cloud computation platform, saving significant employee hours.
In 2017, Anthony interned at Google as an Engineering Practicum Intern. Their responsibilities included designing and prototyping a 3rd party cloud-based OS for Chromebooks, as well as developing key core utilities for Linux distributions in C and Golang.
In 2016, Anthony worked as a Student Intern at Draper during the summer and as an Undergraduate Researcher at the MIT Robust Robotics Group from March 2016 to January 2018. In these roles, they established a software platform for autonomous exploration and created a library for a probabilistic roadmap planner.
Anthony's earliest work experience was as an NSF Fellow at Brown University in 2014, where they wrote code for an online graphical user interface and managed data output for the HotNet2 algorithm.
Anthony Rolland completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2015 to 2019. Prior to this, they attended Julia Reynolds Masterman High School from 2011 to 2015 where they completed their high school education.
