David Blivin

David Blivin is the Founder and Managing Director of Cottonwood Technology Funds, a founding and seed stage investor in IP-based companies considered to have disruptive potential. Cottonwood focuses on the Southwestern US and Northern Europe across industries including photonics, robotics, health sciences, energy and advanced materials. Prior to Cottonwood, Mr. Blivin founded and served as Managing Director of Southeast Interactive where, over a five-year period, he successfully built the team that established the first and largest information technology-focused fund based in the Southeastern US. He previously served as the Chief Financial Officer of Montrose Capital Corporation, and started his career at Arthur Anderson. Mr. Blivin has participated on numerous boards of directors including xF Technologies, Trilumina, Exagen, Respira, Bayotech, The Pantry (nasdaq-PTRY), Opensite (sold to Siebel), Accipiter (sold to CMGI), and Channelogics (sold to Scientific Atlanta). He holds an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
