Tom Irby

Tom Irby has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Tom started their career as Vice President of Sales at CompuAdd from 1983 to 1992. Tom then ventured into entrepreneurship and founded Austin PayFones, Inc., where they held the position of Owner/President from 1988 to 1999.

In 2002, Tom joined Imports by Four Hands as the Director of Sales and Marketing, where they built a national sales team and established sales processes. Tom later became the COO/Director of Sales and Marketing at Silicon Services Consortium from 2003 to 2006, where they successfully grew sales from $1M to $10M and turned around the business by securing a key order.

Tom then became the Owner/CEO of AcuScribe Court Reporters from 2006 to 2015. During this time, they managed the company and its operations.

In 2016, Tom joined PayJunction as a Sales Representative, where they utilized their passion for technology to introduce web-based payment solutions to businesses and help them transition from outdated systems. Tom remained in this role until 2023.

Tom's keen interest in strategic partnerships led him to become VP of Strategic Partnerships at Global Sourcing in 2020. Tom'srole involved addressing the PPE supply shortage during a global crisis and sourcing products worldwide.

In 2018, Tom took on the role of Chief Operating Officer at The Human Experience, a startup software platform focusing on legacy development and self-awareness. Tom guided the development of the platform and helped members create their life stories.

Tom's most recent position is with Skribe, where they co-founded the company in 2022. Currently, they serve as the CEO and Co-Founder, overseeing the company's operations and strategic direction.

Tom Irby attended Harlingen High School from 1975 to 1978, where they obtained their high school diploma. After that, they pursued higher education at Texas State University from 1979 to 1983. During their time at the university, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS).
