Brahma Upputuri

Brahma Upputuri has extensive experience in the field of technology and project management. Brahma is currently working at Sky Solutions as a Program Manager & Appian Architect, where they lead the Appian Practice and serves as a consulting Appian Architect at the US DHHS. Their notable achievement at Sky Solutions includes designing and building the Child Care Automated Reporting System (CARS), a modernized system for grants management.

Prior to their current role, Brahma worked at Citi as the Principal Appian Architect, leading digital automation solutions for the Institutional Client Group Technologies. Brahma was responsible for architecting, designing, and managing the Appian platform, as well as developing various workflows such as Loan Forecast tracking and Deal Manager orchestration. At Citi, they also mentored and coached a team of Appian developers.

Before joining Citi, Brahma served as the Lead Appian Architect at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. In this role, they designed a hybrid cloud solution using the Appian application with an on-premise database. Brahma led a team of Appian developers and utilized technologies such as Appian, Oracle, VPN Tunnel, and Microstrategy.

Prior to their tenure at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Brahma worked at AIG as a Director, where they headed commercial property applications delivery. Brahma managed a team of 45 onsite and offshore resources and utilized technologies such as Java, Micro Services, Spring Boot, Rest API, Mulesoft, Pega, Oracle, MDM, and Microstrategy.

Brahma's work experience also includes a role as Vice President of Information Technology at Bank of America. In this position, they led BPM solutions delivery and the center of excellence for Pega and Appian. Brahma directed a team of 40 delivery leads, developers, and testers, and worked with technologies such as Java, Pega, Appian, and Oracle.

Brahma began their career at TIAA-CREF as a Sr. Technical Lead, where they worked from 2004 to 2010.

Brahma Upputuri holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Anna University. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Warangal. Additionally, Brahma Upputuri has obtained several certifications including Appian Certified Lead Developer from Appian Corporation in July 2021, Certified SAFe® 5 DevOps Practitioner from Scaled Agile, Inc. in May 2022, and Appian Certified Level 2 from Appian Corporation in August 2020.
