Julian Sirakov

Julian Sirakov has worked in the software engineering industry since 2003. Julian began their career at Sciant AG as a Software Engineer, then Senior Software Engineer, and eventually Lead. In 2007, they joined VMware as a Senior Manager of R&D, and was responsible for project management, scope management, resource planning, change management, people management, and more. In 2014, they moved to Uber as the Sofia R&D Site Lead, where they built a high-productivity engineering team. In 2017, they joined Paysafe Group as a Senior Manager of Platform Services and Infrastructure. In 2019, they joined Docker, Inc as the Director of Engineering, and was responsible for building a team from scratch in Sofia, Bulgaria. Julian also led two teams remotely. Later that year, they joined Mirantis as the Director of Engineering through the acquisition of Docker Enterprise. Finally, in 2020, they joined HALO Diagnostics as a Sr. Engineering Manager, and in 2022 they joined SkyFi as a Senior Engineering Manager.

Julian Sirakov obtained a BS in Computer Science from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski from 2000 to 2004. Julian then went on to obtain a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Software Engineering from the same university from 2005 to 2011. Julian also completed courses from the University of Meryland on Coursera. Additionally, Julian has obtained certifications in Introduction to Finance, Model Thinking, An Introduction to Operations Management, Certified Scrum Master, and Preventing Workplace Harassment from various institutions.
