Thorsten Robrecht

Thorsten Robrecht has an extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Their most recent role is as the CEO and Founder of SkyFive.world, starting in August 2019. Prior to that, they served as a Member of the Board of Directors at TD Tech Ltd. (China) from July 2015 to November 2019.

Before their involvement with TD Tech Ltd., Thorsten held various leadership positions at Nokia Networks. Thorsten started as a Senior Program Manager in January 2001 and gradually progressed to higher roles within the company. Thorsten served as the Head of Product Line Transport from December 2006 to October 2009, where they were responsible for the global "Mobile Backhaul" business. Thorsten then became the Head of Product Line LTE from November 2009 to January 2011, followed by the Head of Global Product Management - Network Systems from January 2011 to March 2012. In April 2012, they took on the role of Vice President Portfolio Management, overseeing the global portfolio of the Mobile Broadband Business Unit. Later, they became the Vice President Partner Business from September 2014 to January 2016. Their final role at Nokia Networks was the Vice President Advanced Solutions from January 2016 to July 2019, where they led the global business group "Advanced Mobile Networks Solutions" and was responsible for creating innovative end-to-end solutions within the merging Telco and IT industry.

Thorsten's earlier work experience includes positions at Airbus Helicopters, where they served as an Industrial Management Trainee from December 1994 to February 1997. Thorsten then worked as a Program Manager from March 1997 to December 1998, followed by their role as a Section Manager responsible for the entire electronics R&D organization of the civil Helicopter division from December 1998 to December 2000. In this position, Thorsten was also certified by the German public aeronautics institute as the manager of the Eurocopter design organization.

Thorsten Robrecht obtained their Master's degree in Aeronautics/Aviation/Aerospace Science and Technology, General from FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences. Thorsten attended this university from 1989 to 1994. In addition, they also attended INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon from 1993 to 1994, where they pursued studies in Aeronautique. The degree obtained from INSA Lyon is unspecified.
