Daniel Wong

Daniel Wong has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of engineering and security.

Daniel currently serves as the Head of Security at Skyflow, a position they have held since 2020. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2020, they worked at Nutanix as the Security Engineering Leader.

From 2016 to 2018, Daniel was the Cloud Engineering Leader at CrowdStrike. Daniel then moved on to Timeli in 2015, where they served as an Engineering Leader for a year.

Before Timeli, Daniel worked at Jiff, Inc. from 2013 to 2015 as an Engineering Leader. During this time, they built the Health Incentive Digital Platform and Marketplace and led the engineering organization to develop a HIPAA compliant data platform.

From 2012 to 2013, Daniel held the role of Director of Engineering, Platform Technologies at Salesforce.com, where they contributed to the development and scaling of the PaaS FORCE.com platform.

Prior to that, from 2009 to 2012, they worked at Yahoo! as the Dedicated Paranoid/Principal Security Architect, leading the security architecture and program office for the Yahoo Media Division.

Daniel has an extensive history with Oracle, where they held the positions of Director of Engineering, Security from 2001 to 2009, and Principal Engineer, Security from 1996 to 2001. During their time at Oracle, they developed innovative security technologies and received multiple software patents.

In 1995, Daniel worked as a Research Intern - MTS at IBM, and from 1992 to 1993, they held the same position at Bell Laboratories.

Daniel Wong completed their Bachelor of Science degree in EECS at the University of California, Berkeley. Daniel then pursued a Master of Art degree in Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
