Sergey Paushkin

Sergey Paushkin is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in drug discovery, particularly focused on developing treatments for spinal muscular atrophy. Currently serving as Chief Scientific Officer and Senior Vice President of Discovery Biology at Skyhawk Therapeutics since January 2018, Sergey previously held the position of Director at the Spinal Muscular Atrophy Foundation from February 2009 to December 2017 and worked as a Senior Scientist at PTC Therapeutics from January 2003 to January 2009. Sergey began a scientific career as a postdoctoral scientist at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute at the University of Pennsylvania from October 1998 to December 2002. Sergey earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from The Russian State Medical University between 1988 and 1995.
