Silvia Marín-Lázaro Guzmán

Silvia Mar is a dedicated educator currently serving as a High School Spanish Teacher at Rutherford County Schools, Tennessee, since August 2023. Previously, Silvia held the position of DC Spanish Instructor at San Antonio Independent School District from August 2019 to June 2023, while also serving as an Adjunct Professor at St. Philip's College during the same period. Silvia's teaching experience includes roles as a High School Spanish Teacher at Gonzales High School and a Spanish Teacher at Travis Middle School. In addition, Silvia taught as Adjunct Faculty for Dual Credit Spanish at South Texas College and as an AP/DC Spanish Teacher at Psja Southwest Early College High School. Academically, Silvia earned a Master of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature from The University of Texas-Pan American and a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies from the same institution. Furthering education, Silvia completed an International Course on Economy, Culture, and Tradition in Spanish Diversity at Universidad de Salamanca in 2016.
