James Yanes

James Yanes is an experienced airline pilot currently serving as a First Officer at SkyWest Airlines since September 2023. Prior to this role, Yanes worked as an aerial survey pilot for Meisinger Aviation, LLC from June 2022 to May 2023 and for Landcare Aviation Inc from December 2021 to June 2022. Yanes began aviation training as a Cadet at American Airlines from March 2020 to April 2021, where participation in an accelerated flight training program facilitated the acquisition of an Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot Certificate, Multi-Engine Rating, and Flight Instructor Certificate (CFI, CFII). Yanes holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Hofstra University, completed in 2019.
