Don Woodbury

Don Woodbury is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research, innovation, and technology development. Currently serving as the Director of Joint Research Laboratories at the University of Maryland, Don Woodbury focuses on establishing research partnerships to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Additionally, Don Woodbury holds the position of Director of Innovation and Partnerships, where efforts are made to incentivize faculty research and foster strategic collaborations with government and industry partners. As an independent consultant since 2015, Don Woodbury specializes in developing innovative concepts and supporting proposal strategies. Co-founder and advisor at Skyworks Aeronautics Corp., Don Woodbury contributes to the advancement of sustainable aviation technology. Previous roles include Technical Director at HSARPA and Director of the Strategic Technology Office at DARPA, where leadership was provided to significant research initiatives. Don Woodbury holds multiple degrees in Technical Management and Chemistry from The Johns Hopkins University and Clarkson University.
