Bill Hand

Bill Hand has an extensive work experience in the tech industry. Bill started their career at CARCO Group, Inc. in 2001, where they worked as a helpdesk technician. Bill provided support for end users, maintained users and group policy in Microsoft Active Directory, and created a Microsoft Access database to track server inventory. In 2005, they joined SL Green Realty Corp. as an Assistant MIS Manager. In this role, they maintained and upgraded Windows and Citrix servers, managed Active Directory and Domain Name System (DNS) for the corporate network, and developed logon scripts using VBScript. From 2007 to 2011, they served as the Manager of Business Applications at SL Green Realty Corp., where they implemented and maintained SharePoint environments, built a SharePoint-based tracking system using InfoPath, and successfully upgraded the corporate ERP. Since 2011, they have held the position of Director of Business Applications at SL Green Realty Corp., where they manage several key systems and oversees teams of IT professionals, developers, and a managed helpdesk service. In this position, they work closely with senior management to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and introduce new technologies. Recently, they have taken on the role of Senior Director, Business Applications in September 2021.

Bill Hand holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Management Information Systems from Hofstra University. Bill also completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Information Systems from the University at Albany, SUNY. In addition to their formal education, Bill Hand has obtained several certifications related to Microsoft Azure, messaging platforms, object-oriented design, and SQL, including Azure Active Directory: Basics, Exam Prep: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Planning and Configuring a Microsoft Messaging Platform, Programming Foundations: Object-Oriented Design, MCITP SQL, and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
