George F. Trivino is currently serving as the ELA High School Teacher at Sports Leadership And Management Academy (SLAM). Prior to this role, George has also worked as a Teacher at Southwest Charlotte STEM Academy, Assistant Librarian at Guttman Community College CUNY, and as a Researcher at the Research Foundation of The City University of New York. George holds a Master of Arts in Education from The Graduate Center, City University of New York and completed their undergraduate studies at Hunter College.

The SLAM Foundation is a non-profit educational organization supporting the expansion of K-12 tuition-free, public charter schools in underrepresented communities nationwide. GRAMMY®-winning international superstar, entrepreneur and education advocate, Armando Christian Pérez, Pitbull, co-founded the first SLAM school in Miami in 2012. We currently serve over 10,000 students across 14 schools in Florida, Nevada, Georgia and Arizona. SLAM schools are accredited by COGNIA under the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS-CASI) division.
