Mercedes Carriquiry has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries.

Mercedes co-founded and served as the COO of Slantis, a company that helps innovative teams incorporate smart technology into their built projects.

Mercedes is also involved with Women in BIM as a Regional Lead, promoting and supporting women in the construction industry.

Mercedes has worked as a Project Manager at Ponce de León Architects, managing projects from February 2012 to August 2016.

Mercedes has also been involved with Universidad de la República, teaching and contributing to different architecture and urban design courses.

Later, in 2010 and 2011, they pursued a Master's degree in Architecture and Sensible Environmental Cultures at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Grenoble. Additionally, Mercedes Carriquiry attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they became a FabAcademy Graduate, specializing in digital fabrication, programming, and electronics.
