Igor Markov

Igor Markov is an experienced professional in human development and sustainability, currently serving as the Director of Social Sustainability at SLB since February 2023. Previously, Igor operated as an independent professional from August 2011 to January 2023, partnering with an African inland water transport business and consulting in the oil and gas sectors. As the Director of Business Development for the International Lifeline Fund from October 2014 to September 2022, Igor focused on sustainable access to water and energy in rural Uganda. Prior roles include various positions at Schlumberger from 1998 to 2009, where Igor managed operations, sales, and service delivery across multiple regions, and served in the ETA Task Force to enhance field operations efficiency. Early experience includes roles as a Scuba Diving Instructor and an intern in design and production at Empresas Polar. Igor holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar.
