Jo Merx

Jo Merx has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Currently, Jo serves as the VP Project Management at KYOCERA SLD Laser since September 2021. Prior to this, Jo held the position of Senior Director Program Management from January 2021 until September 2021. Earlier, Jo was the Director Program Management at KYOCERA SLD Laser from May 2018 to January 2021. Before joining KYOCERA, Jo worked at Philips Technolgie GmbH Aachen as a Program Manager Low Power Xenon from October 2014 to February 2016 and as a Senior Project Manager for Philips Automotive Lamps from December 2010 to September 2014. Jo also gained experience at Philips Automotive, where they worked as a Product Manager HID from October 2009 to December 2010. Additionally, Jo has an extensive history at Philips Technologie GmbH Aachen, where they held various roles including Project Manager from January 2007 to October 2009, Group Leader Processes and Materials from January 2004 to January 2007, Project Leader from January 2002 to January 2004, and Development Engineer, Metal Specialist from January 1999 to January 2002. Jo's career began at Philips Research Laboratories Aachen as a Material Analyst from January 1996 to January 1999.

Jo Merx completed high school and earned a diploma at Rheinisch Westfälische Technische Hochschule from 1987 to 1994. During this time, Jo studied Physics, with a specialization in Solid State Physics and Materials Science, and also obtained a Master of Science degree. Prior to attending Rheinisch Westfälische Technische Hochschule, Jo attended Bernardinus College from 1981 to 1987 and St. Alloysius from 1975 to 1981. Jo Merx also holds a certification in Project Management (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, although the specific year and month of its obtainment are unknown.
