Studio Art Director at Sledgehammer Games

Joe Salud has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. Joe started their career as a Junior Artist at Pulse Entertainment in 1996 and then moved on to work as an Artist at Konami Digital Entertainment from 1998 to 2000. Joe then joined NAMCO USA INC. as a Senior Artist from 2000 to 2002.

In 2002, Joe joined Electronic Arts (EA) and held two roles. Joe first worked as a Lead Environment Artist, where they were responsible for setting the execution quality bar and best practices for the environment team. Joe worked on projects such as James Bond: Everything or Nothing, EARS Central technology team, and Godfather. Joe later became an Associate Art Director, collaborating with the project art director on art style guides, art quality bars, and graphics rendering.

Since 2009, Joe has been working at Sledgehammer Games as a Studio Art Director. Joe has played a significant role in the development of various versions of the popular game franchise, Call of Duty, including Modern Warfare 3, Advanced Warfare, WWII, and Vanguard. Joe has been responsible for the overall art and visuals, and has grown the art team from one artist to a full studio with a strong support structure.
