Lead Build Engineer at Sledgehammer Games

Mike Timbrell has a diverse work experience in the field of programming and engineering. Mike started their career as a Freelance Web Developer in 2007, working as a Backend Programmer. In 2010, they joined The Academy of Interactive Entertainment as a Programming Teacher, later becoming the Lead Programming Teacher (Online) in 2012.

In 2012, Mike moved to 2K Australia, where they worked as a Mid-Engine Programmer and Build Engineer until 2015. Following this, they became self-employed as a Codesmith and Build Wrangler, working on various projects until 2019.

Currently, Mike is working at Sledgehammer Games as a Lead Build Engineer. Their role started in October 2019 and is ongoing.

Mike Timbrell attended the Academy of Interactive Entertainment from 2008 to 2009. During this time, they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. In 2002, Mike Timbrell enrolled in the JMC Academy and completed an Advanced Diploma in Engineering Technology with a specialization in Sound Production in 2003.
