Alex Bubniak is currently a Sessional Academic at Griffith University, providing instruction in a forensic science lab course focused on DNA extraction. Concurrently, Alex serves as a Lifeguard at Sleeman Sports Complex since July 2022. Previous experience includes an internship at Queensland University of Technology, where skills in extracting ancient DNA were developed, and a role as a Visiting Scholar at The Feinstein Institutes. Additional lifeguard positions were held at North Shore Towers Apartments, Inc., Swansea Country Club, and Roger Williams University. Alex also worked as a Sea Turtle Caretaker at James Cook University, engaging in general husbandry and research assistance. Educational qualifications include a Master's of Science by Research in Human Statistical Genetics from Griffith University, alongside a dual degree in Anthropology and Sociology with Biology/Biological Sciences and Environmental Science from Roger Williams University.
