Joanna Tan has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries and roles. Joanna started their career as a Sales Assistant at Philips Electronics Singapore in 2008. Joanna then worked as an Editorial Assistant at P&C Management and Training Centre before interning at Ketchum ICON and Point Consulting. In 2010, they joined ServiceSource International as a Sales Representative.

Joanna's career took off when they joined Procter & Gamble in 2011 as a Key Account Manager for SK-II Singapore. Joanna later became a Senior Key Account Manager, overseeing the Travel Retail Asia Pacific and Prestige accounts. In 2013, they transitioned to become the Senior Key Account Manager for Giant Singapore.

In 2016, Joanna joined The Body Shop as the APAC Franchise Account Manager, where they led and managed franchisees in Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Brunei.

Following their time at The Body Shop, Joanna joined Deliveroo as a Senior Commercial Manager in 2019, responsible for commercial success and managing key accounts.

In 2020, Joanna joined Slerp as an Account Management Lead, where they played a vital role in maximizing sales and order volume. Joanna also worked closely with the product team to enhance the platform and improve operational efficiencies. From 2004 to 2005, they attended Anderson Junior College and obtained their Singapore Cambridge GCE 'A' Levels.

From 2006 to 2010, Joanna enrolled at the National University of Singapore, where they pursued an Honours in Arts & Social Sciences with a focus on Communications and New Media, alongside a minor in Sociology.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Joanna also obtained various certifications. In 2019, they achieved the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits (Pass with Distinction) from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust. Continuing their wine education, they obtained the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines (Pass with Distinction) from the same institution in 2019.

More recently, in 2021, Joanna acquired certifications related to data analytics and website tracking. These include the Google Analytics for Beginners, Advanced Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager Fundamentals courses offered by Google. Lastly, in 2022, they completed bootcamps in both Data Analytics and UX Design at Vertical Institute.
