Alex Detmering

Alex Detmering is a versatile professional with extensive experience in content strategy and marketing. Currently serving as a Consultant at Sleuth Kit Labs and Co-Host at The Furious Curious, Alex previously held the position of Head of Content at KonaSearch, where Alex contributed as an executive team member until its acquisition by Bullhorn in September 2024. Prior roles include Lead Writer at Candor, where Alex was the first full-time senior writer prior to its acquisition by Highwire, and Director of Cyber Forensics Marketing at Basis Technology. Alex's early career includes significant positions such as Creative Director at Prattle, which was acquired by Liquidnet, and various roles in marketing and writing. Alex holds a Master’s degree in Literature and a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, along with an Associate of Arts from St. Charles Community College.
