Vijay Yanamadala M.D.

Vijay Yanamadala MD, MBA, FAANS is a board-certified neurosurgeon currently serving as the System Medical Director of Spine Quality and Surgical Optimization at Hartford HealthCare and Chief Medical Officer at Sword Health. In addition to these roles, Vijay holds positions as a member of Slice of Healthcare and as an Associate Professor of Surgery (Neurosurgery) at Quinnipiac University. Previously, Vijay worked as an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and as Director of the Center for Surgical Optimization at Montefiore Health System. Extensive training includes a residency and fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, a fellowship in Complex Spine Surgery at Virginia Mason Medical Center, and an internship assessing the healthcare start-up space at Bessemer Venture Partners. Educational credentials include an MD and MBA from Harvard Medical School and Harvard Business School, respectively, along with an MA in Chemistry and a BA in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard University.
