Julie Stanford

Julie Stanford is the principle and founder of Sliced Bread Design. Julie has over twenty years of experience in the tech industry, specializing in user experience design.

Julie got their start in 1995 when they designed the first generation of the Oracle Sales Intranet as a web designer. Julie then took an internship at Sun Microsystems in 1997 designing speech email applications before moving on to Financial Engines in 1998. At Financial Engines, Julie was a senior interaction designer and was responsible for the design of the user interface for the company's online financial advisory website. During their time there, they conducted extensive user studies.

In 2006, Julie founded Sliced Bread Design, a user experience consulting firm. Sliced Bread Design works with startups and established companies to help them design beautiful and easy-to-use products. Julie is passionate about helping companies create products that people love to use.

Julie Stanford has a MA in Communications: Interaction Design from Stanford University and a BS in Symbolic Systems, Interaction Design from Stanford University.
