Dima Aksenchik

Lead Level Designer at Slipgate Ironworks

Dima Aksenchik has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. They started their career as a Level Designer at Wargaming.net in 2011 and then moved on to work at Neverplay, where they took on the role of a Game Designer. At Neverplay, they were involved in various tasks such as systems and feature design, combat parameter balancing, market analysis, UI concept design, and game testing.

In 2015, Dima joined EPAM Systems as a Junior User Experience Designer before transitioning to Saber Interactive as a Game Level Designer. At Saber Interactive, they worked on the project WWZ, where they were responsible for level design, whiteboxing, supervising level modeling, scripting level scenarios, and organizing playtests.

Following their time at Saber Interactive, Dima worked at Alternativa Games as a Senior Level Designer. There, they contributed to the development of the game King Hardcore by researching and developing level design guidelines, prototyping a large sandbox level for a Battle Royale game, coordinating teamwork, and implementing playtest feedback.

Dima then joined Playgendary as a Game Designer and later moved to IgroTek as a Senior Level Designer. At IgroTek, their responsibilities included full-cycle level production, level logic and scripting, game systems and UI prototyping, animation tweaks and setup, landscape and object material modifications, and behavior tree implementation.

Most recently, Dima joined DR Studios as a Level Designer before transitioning to their current role as the Lead Level Designer at Slipgate Ironworks in 2022.

Dima Aksenchik obtained an Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Related Technologies/Technicians from the Belarusian State College of Building Materials Industry, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Later, Dima pursued a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics with a focus on the Japanese Language at Minsk State Linguistics University from 2007 to 2012. In addition to their formal education, Dima also obtained two certifications, "Agile with Atlassian Jira" and "Project Management: The Basics for Success," from Coursera in November 2018.
