Martin Chalmers

Martin Chalmers is an experienced leader in the digital, data, and technology sectors, currently serving as the Director of Digital, Data and Technology at Slough Borough Council since September 2024. Martin also operates as the Owner of Chalmers Advisory Limited since April 2019. Prior to these roles, Martin held the position of Chief Digital & Information Officer at Reading Borough Council from January 2020 to September 2024 and managed a division with over 1,000 personnel as the Managing Director for Aerospace, Defence, Security & Technology at Atkins from March 2016 to April 2019. Martin’s extensive experience includes leadership roles at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, Avail Consulting, and KPMG Advisory. An alumnus of the University of Aberdeen with a BSc in Computing Science, Martin is currently pursuing an MSc in Neuroscience & Behavioural Change and holds a Professional Certificate in Coaching from Henley Business School.
