Marcel Klimek

Marcel Klimek serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Slovenská banková asociácia since July 2024. Previously, Marcel held several supervisory board positions, including with Sociálna poisťovňa, Všeobecná zdravotná poisťovňa, SEPS - Slovenská elektrizačná prenosová sústava, Fond ochrany vkladov, and Narodny jadrovy fond from 2016 to 2023. Additionally, Marcel was the State Secretary at the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic and served as Deputy State Secretary at the Ministry of Interior from 2010 to 2012. Marcel Klimek graduated with a degree in Banking and Financial Support Services from Ekonomická univerzita v Bratislave from 1991 to 1996.
