Diane Freeman

Diane Freeman, P.Eng. FCAE, is a highly experienced professional in the field of engineering and public service. Currently serving as Principal, Air Quality at SLR Consulting since January 2021 and as Honourary Lieutenant Colonel of 31CER with the Canadian Armed Forces since March 2021, Diane also holds the position of Councillor for Ward 4 in the City of Waterloo, a role held since 2006. Previous positions include Lieutenant Governor Appointed Director to Council for The College of Veterinarians of Ontario, Senior Project Engineer at Masri O Inc. Architects, and Senior Project Manager at GHD. Diane contributed to municipal governance as Director of the Large Urban Caucus for the Association of Municipalities of Ontario and demonstrated leadership as President of Professional Engineers Ontario from 2010 to 2011. Diane earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo, completing studies from 1986 to 1992.
