Camilo Uribe Mogollon

Camilo Uribe Mogollon, Ph.D, is an experienced geoscientist currently serving as an Asset Petrophysicist at SM Energy Company, specializing in the STX Austin Chalk - EGFD assets since May 2019. Prior to this role, Camilo held positions as an Asset Geologist and Technical Development Geologist, contributing to operations and petrophysics in the Permian region. Previous experiences include a geoscientist internship focused on geological frameworks in the Great Permian Basin, and a geology internship at Rio Tinto that complemented a PhD project. Camilo’s academic background includes a Ph.D. in Earth and Environmental Science from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and a B.Sc. in Geology from Universidad EAFIT, emphasizing expertise in economic geology and project management.
