Tom Morrow

In January 2023, Mr. Morrow was appointed Vice President – Operations Support for the Company. Mr. Morrow joined the Company in January 2007 as Sr. Production Engineer for the Midland, Texas office. Mr. Morrow was promoted to Regional Production Manager in August 2007 with responsibilities for both engineering and day-to-day field operations for the Permian Basin. In June 2009, Mr. Morrow assumed the role of Regional Engineering Manager, responsible for development planning and completion operations, and in December 2012, became the Regional Permian Asset Manager.

Mr. Morrow has more than 38 years of experience in the energy industry. Prior to joining SM Energy, Mr. Morrow’s previous roles include seven years with Sohio Petroleum/BP Exploration working Permian Basin, Mid-Continent, and offshore Gulf of Mexico assets, 12 years with Unocal/Pure Resources in engineering and operations management, two years with Venoco, Inc. and one year with Chevron.

Mr. Morrow received a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas Tech University and an M.S. in Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
