Syed Mohammed

Syed Mohammed has a diverse work experience. Syed started as a trainee at SM Group of Companies in 2005, where they familiarized himself with accounting and financial aspects of a garment export company. Syed also worked on the firm's investment portfolio. In 2007, they became the Deputy Managing Director at SM Group of Companies, where they managed SM Knitwears and SM Spinning Mills Ltd., overseeing procurement, sales, marketing, and sourcing. In 2008, they briefly served as an Assistant Accounts Manager at Siji Building Materials LLC and as an Assistant Sales Manager at Abdullah Al Zaabi Building Materials. In 2009, they interned at HSBC Private Bank in the Premier Department, working on a project to analyze customer satisfaction and suggest new services. In 2013, they joined HSBC as a File Review Team Coordinator, reviewing interest rate derivatives sold to SMEs. Later that year, they became a Business Advisor at SM Services, providing custom business services to clients in the UK market.

Syed Mohammed received their MSc in Economics and International Financial Economics from the University of Warwick in 2010-2011. Prior to that, they completed their BSc in Financial Economics at the University of Essex from 2007 to 2010. Earlier, they attended the English Medium School from 2005 to 2007.
