Olivier Varin has an extensive work experience spanning multiple industries. Olivier began their career in 1985 as an Analyst-Programmer at Stanhome, where they developed solutions for commercial management, customer accounting, stock management, and order placement. Olivier also provided training and support to users. In 1992, they joined VAN LEER Fibre & Plastique France as the IT Manager, overseeing the implementation of various software systems and developing custom solutions. Olivier facilitated user training and support across five locations.

In 1999, Olivier joined PROMODATA as a Consultant, supporting sales engineers in financing, consulting, and project management for IBM iSeries and AS/400 environments. Olivier also worked on backup and disaster recovery solutions. From 2002 to 2008, they worked at DIANE INFORMATIQUE SOLUTIONS as a Consultant, specializing in IBM hardware trading and outsourcing services. Olivier contributed to infrastructure evolution projects, pre-sales support, and customer relationship management.

Starting in 2008, Olivier served as a Consultant Infrastructure at ACT400, supporting pre-sales activities and commercial roles. Olivier was involved in infrastructure evolution projects for IBM iSeries and storage, as well as implementing new strategic directions for the company. From 2009 to 2017, they worked at J.P. SERVICES as a Consultant Infrastructure, focusing on infrastructure improvements for IBM i and storage systems. Olivier also provided commercial support to select clients and analyzed performance metrics for IBM i environments.

Since 2017, Olivier has been associated with SMA Technologies. Olivier began as a Senior Consultant, managing automation projects and providing installation, configuration, and troubleshooting services for the OpCon Automation platform. Olivier also conducted customer training. In 2019, they transitioned to the role of a Product Specialist, where they played a key role in product support and expertise. Currently, they serve as a Customer Success Manager, ensuring customer satisfaction and cultivating long-term relationships.

Overall, Olivier Varin possesses a diverse skill set and extensive experience in technology consulting, infrastructure management, and customer success management.

Olivier Varin attended Université Paris Cité from 1987 to 1990, where they obtained a D.U.T. degree in Informatique. Olivier then pursued further studies at the same institution from 1990 to 1991, completing a D.E.S.S. degree in Applications de la Télémétatique. Prior to that, from 1984 to 1985, Varin attended Institut Européen Informatique and earned a Certificat de Technicité Informatique with a focus on Analyse-Programmation sur IBM S/38, RPGIII, Cobol, Basic et Analyse. Their earliest educational endeavor was at Lycée Jean XXIII from 1980 to 1983, where they completed their Baccalauréat D with a specialization in Mathématiques et Sciences de la Nature.

In terms of additional certifications, Olivier Varin obtained the OpCon Certified Professional certification from SMA Solutions in December 2017.
