Rik Bos

Rik Bos has a strong background in game design, with experience in both lead roles and analyst/designer positions. Rik'smost recent position was as the Lead Game Designer at Small Giant Games, starting in 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Next Games as the Game Design Lead from 2013 to 2021, during which they also held roles as a Senior Game Analyst/Designer and Game Analyst/Designer. Before joining Next Games, Rik worked at T-XChange as a Game Designer from 2011 to 2013, where they designed games for the private and public sectors and conducted research projects on game design. Rik began their career at Stichting Praktijkleren in 2008 as a User Interface & 3D-graphics Designer, where they led a transition from photo- to 3D-graphics for virtual environments.

Rik Bos completed their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design at the University of Twente from 2002 to 2007. Rik then pursued a Master's degree in Industrial Design Engineering at the same university from 2007 to 2011. In 2008 and 2009, Rik took part in an exchange program at the IT University of Copenhagen, focusing on Game Design. Additionally, in 2010, they participated in a thesis exchange at Nanyang Technological University Singapore, specializing in Game Design.
