Yohei Kiguchi

Co-Founder & CEO at SMAP Energy

Yohei Kiguchi is the co-founder and CEO of SMAP Energy, a smart-meter analytics platform. Yohei was previously a data scientist at Cambridge Energy Data Lab (CEDL), where they used machine learning technologies to model energy consumption with smart-meter datasets. CEDL has successfully generated two companies based on their research: EneChange, the #1 energy switching/comparison website in Japan, and SMAP Energy.

Yohei Kiguchi obtained their Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Tokyo before going on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Engineering with a focus in energy efficiency and machine learning from the University of Cambridge.
