Bas Verbinnen

Bas Verbinnen has over 20 years of experience in various information security and IT roles. Bas currently serves as the Head of Information Security & IT at Smappee since February 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Showpad from 2015 to 2023, holding positions such as Vice President of Technology Operations, Director of Information Technology & Cloud Operations, Director Security & Compliance, and Information Security Manager. Before joining Showpad, Bas worked at Fluvius as an Assistant Information Security Manager and ICT Governance from 2009 to 2015. Bas started their career at Infoserve IT Resourcing NV in 2002, where they held roles such as Senior Security Consultant, Network Security Team Leader for "Carrefour Group Belgium," and Systems Administrator.

Bas Verbinnen's education history begins with their enrollment at SInt-Pieterscollege Leuven from 1987 to 1997. However, no specific degree or field of study is provided for this period. Bas then went on to pursue a Graduate degree in Telecommunications & Technology at Groep T - Internationale Hogeschool Leuven from 2001 to 2004.
