Carlos Girón Casares

Carlos Girón Casares has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Carlos is currently serving as the CTO&CIO at Smarkia since September 2022. Prior to this, Carlos founded and directed Ingenieria y Desarrollos Resolutos S.L. in November 2016. Carlos also worked as the Chief Technology Officer at Atrys Health from November 2019 to December 2022. Before that, Carlos was an Ingeniero de Investigación at ORBIS TECNOLOGiA ELECTRICA, S.A. from December 2015 to November 2019. As an autonomous engineer, Carlos engaged in developing projects in communications, IT support, network design and deployment, and programming embedded systems for energy efficiency and smart grids from January 2015 to November 2016. Carlos's earlier experience includes research roles at the Universidad de Alcalá from June 2005 to December 2015 and serving as the Responsible IT at Cegedim Strategic Data from January 2004 to December 2015.

Carlos Girón Casares has a comprehensive education history in the field of electrical, electronic, and communication engineering. Carlos began their academic journey in 2000 at the Universidad de Alcalá, where they pursued a degree in Telematics and graduated as an Ingeniero Técnico de Telecomuncaciones in 2004. Building on this foundation, Carlos furthered their studies at the same university and obtained a degree in Electronics Engineering with a specialization in Control and Communications in 2007. As they continued to expand their knowledge and skills, Carlos pursued a Master's degree in Advanced Electronic Systems with a focus on Intelligent Systems from 2007 to 2008 at the Universidad de Alcalá. Finally, between 2010 and 2017, they completed their highest academic achievement by earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical, Electronic, and Communication Engineering from the Universidad de Alcalá. This educational journey reflects Carlos's commitment to learning and thriving in the field of engineering.
