Goutam Nadella is the Chief Product Officer at Smarsh. Goutam has over 18 years of experience in product management, strategy, and business development.

Nadella started their career as a software developer and research assistant at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Goutam then joined Goldman Sachs in 2003 and spent 10 years there, eventually becoming the Head of Product Management & Strategy for REDI. In 2013, they left Goldman Sachs to join REDI as their Chief Product Officer.

At REDI, Nadella oversaw all aspects of product management, strategy, and business development. Goutam led the transformation of REDI from a single dealer platform to a global, multi-asset and multi-broker platform servicing the buy-side and sell-side community across the trade lifecycle. Nadella was also instrumental in defining and implementing the strategy for REDI’s expansion across the trade lifecycle through a combination of partnerships and acquisitions.

In 2015, Nadella left REDI to join Symphony as their EVP, Client Solutions. Symphony is a secure seamless communication platform. Nadella was responsible for overseeing all aspects of product management, strategy, and business development.

Under Nadella’s leadership, Symphony successfully completed the acquisition of a competitive business. They were able to migrate all clients to Symphony with minimal attrition and grew the revenue by 10%. The user base also increased by 20%.

Goutam Nadella attended the Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology where they received their Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Goutam then went on to attend the University of Illinois Chicago where they received their Masters in Computer Engineering.

They are on a team with Suzanne Rudnitzki - COO, Neva Depalma - General Counsel, and Brian Agle - CFO. Goutam Nadella reports to Kim Crawford Goodman, CEO.
