Althea Joyce Aragon

Althea Joyce Aragon serves as Assistant Vice President of Group Corporate Communications at Smart Communications, Inc. since January 2007, recognized as the sole recipient of the 2023 PLDT Smart Employee Excellence Award for Leadership. In a previous role as Interim Lead of Corporate Communications, appointed by PLDT Chairman and CEO Manuel V. Pangilinan, Althea managed operations for Smart's wireless unit. Prior experience includes roles as Public Affairs Senior Manager and Public Affairs Manager, where Althea led award-winning PR campaigns and assisted top management in message development. Earlier positions include Public Affairs Supervisor at the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture and Account Manager at Virtusio Public Relations, where strategic PR campaigns were developed for multinational clients. Althea earned a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication from the University of the Philippines from 1996 to 2000.
