Victor Alfonzo Diaz

Victor Alfonzo Diaz has a diverse work experience spanning various research and teaching roles. Victor Alfonzo is currently working as a Data Scientist at Smart Data Foundry since June 2021. Prior to this, they were a PhD Student at the University of Bologna from November 2015 to March 2019. During their PhD studies, they also served as a Visiting Scientist at Max-Planck-Institut Für Physik from February 2018 to January 2019.

Before pursuing their PhD, Victor was a Visiting Researcher at Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) from October 2014 to October 2015. Victor Alfonzo also worked as an SPLE Fellow - Junior Researcher (Master student) at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid from October 2013 to October 2014.

Further adding to their academic profile, Victor completed the Postgraduate Diploma Programme in High Energy Physics at Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) from September 2012 to September 2013.

In terms of teaching experience, Victor served as a Teacher Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Universidad Central de Venezuela from 2009 to 2012 and again from 2010 to 2011.

Victor Alfonzo then went on to achieve a Master's degree in Physics from Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in 2012-2013. Subsequently, in 2013-2014, they obtained a Master's degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Finally, they furthered their education by completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, graduating in 2015-2019.
