John Prange

John Prange has been co-owner of Smart Data Solutions since its inception in 2001. Prior to Smart Data, John was the Vice President of IT and Claims for Health Risk Management (HRM). In this role, John leveraged his IT knowledge to streamline claims functions. Under John’s leadership, HRM realized both improved quality and reduced cost. During his tenure at HRM John recognized the market’s need for a more automated and cost-effective approach to claim acquisition. This prompted him to found Smart Data Solutions.

John graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering. He later earned his MBA with an IT concentration from the Carlson School of Management. John is also an active member of the Vistage.

In his spare time, John enjoys spending time with his family including his two children. His hobbies include skiing, biking, and spending time at his cabin.
